In the early 90’s Bengal Ambuja Housing Development Limited (BAHDL) was set up as a joint initiative between West Bengal Housing Board and Gujarat Ambuja Cements Limited. BAHDL now is a joint venture between West Bengal Housing Board and Ambuja Housing and Urban Infrastructure Company Limited consequent upon the divestment of Gujarat Ambuja Cements Ltd’s stake.

Over the years the company has developed excellent professional expertise in developing housing and other infrastructure projects in association with WBHB, Asansol - Durgapur Development Authority, Burdwan Zilla Parishad and Sriniketan Shantiniketan Development Authority. Its signature projects are Udayan, (The Condoville along the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass), Utsa and Ujjwala (The condoville at New Town, Rajarhat).

Currently, the Ambuja Realty group is being led by Shri Harshvardhan Neotia under the guidance of group patriarchs Shri Suresh Neotia and Shri Vinod Neotia.

Ambuja Housing and Urban Infrastructure Company Ltd.

Incorporated in the year 2005 Ambuja Housing And Urban Infrastructure Company Limited has been incorporated for undertaking Real Estate projects. The Company has a capital base of Rs.150 Crores which has been utilised mainly for investments in various Group Companies/Joint Venture Companies. The company has been promoted by the Neotia family.

 

Bengal Ambuja Housing Development Ltd.

Bengal Ambuja Housing Development Limited (BAHDL) was incorporated in 1993 as joint sector with West Bengal Housing Board. The Company is engaged in development of mass scale housing and other infrastructural projects in West Bengal, in association with various Government bodies like Asansol-Durgapur Development Authority, Burdwan Zilla Parishad & Srineketan Shantineketan Development Authority.

BAHDL already has undertaken projects worth almost Rs. 300 Crores. The Company has entered into a Project Management Agreement for development of approximately 400 acres of land having project value of Rs. 400 crores roughly.

BAHDL has been the only company in India to be awarded the highest developer grading viz DR1 from ICRA. The grading indicates:

  • A very strong project execution capacity.
  • Prospects of execution of real estate projects as per plan, are the best
  • Ability to transfer the ownership as per terms, is the highest.

Bengal Ambuja Metro Development Ltd.

Bengal Ambuja Metro Development Limited is a Joint Venture with Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA). The Company was incorporated in the year 1999 for development of a "City Centre" project comprising 5.50 lac sq.ft. (approx) of residential cum commercial complex.

The project is located at DC Block, Sector I, Salt Lake City, Kolkata in the heart of the prime residential area diagonally opposite the 100 acres central green park in Salt Lake. The total cost of the project was Rs.115 Crores vis- a-vis total realisation of Rs.140 Crores approx. BAMDL has also received DRI Rating from ICRA.

GGL Hotel & Resort Company Limited

GGL Hotel & Resort Company Limited is a subsidiary of Ambuja Housing And Urban Infrastructure Company Limited. Currently GGL has a Share Capital of Rs. 33 Crores. It comprises of various projects / business activities viz. Shyamolima, The Ffort Radission, The Club Magna Charta, The Ffort Holiday Klub, Shimana & Surabhi.

Ganapati Parks Limited

Ganapati Parks Limited is a Joint Venture Company between Ambuja group and Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), which has constructed and developed a project "Swabhumi-The Heritage Plaza" on the EM Bypass Kolkata. The theme of the project revolves around the Indian Culture and Heritage, which brings together the cultural diversity of India at a single place.

The project endeavours to provide a compatible environment for recreational and cultural activities to meet the objectives of KMC of providing hygienic civic services and pollution control for the health and welfare of the general society at large on the land which once upon a time was used as dumping ground for garbage and waste materials.

Swabhumi offers round-the-year activities like Soirees, skits, books, music, folk songs, paintings, crafts, pantomimes, events, films, delicacies and artifacts.

Ambuja Realty Development Limited

Ambuja Realty Development Limited has been incorporated on 10th October, 2005 to undertake various Real Estate development projects. The Company has been promoted by the Neotia Family. The Family has already infused a capital of Rs.100 Crores into the Company for acquisition of land at various locations.

AIPL Ambuja Housing & Urban Infrastructure Ltd.

Ambuja Realty Group has decided to venture into the State of Punjab and have joined hand with Delhi based Developer, M/s. Advance India Projects Limited (AIPL) for undertaking large scale projects in the Northern Capital Region. A new Company christened as "AIPL Ambuja Housing & Urban Infrastructure Ltd." has been incorporated in the year 2006 for the purposes of undertaking development in the Northem Capital Region. The Company has already acquired 135 Acres of land at Amritsar, 75 Acres of land in Khanna & 18 Acres of land in Mohali.

The above projects are in various stages of planning and Government clearances. Amritsar project has already received State Pollution Control Board approval for development of integrated township comprising of apartments, bunglows, hotels, malls, hospital, etc. Construction work is likely to commence in Amritsar immediately upon receiving the Sanction Plan which is expected within December, 2006.

Bhagirathi Neotia Woman & Child Care Centre (BNWCCC)

Promoted by Park Hospital Limited, an 85 bed super specialty hospital for women and children, off Park Street, Kolkata BNWCCC is a non-profit enterprise. Any surplus generated will be used to upgrade the facility and further the philanthropic objectives of the organisation. It offers... a paediatric department, obstetrics and gynaecology, general surgical facilities, general medical cases. Dedicated to women, a baby clinic, a women wellness clinic, psychiatrist and clinical psychologist and physiotherapy and diet related amenities.

The Centre offers comprehensive treatment facilities for women and children. Its resident and visiting doctors are specialists with a wide range of national and international exposure. The centre has an in-house pharmacy with round-the-clock services. The cafe, specialising in nutritious food, plays soothing music through the day. The centre will also have a Special Ward with six free beds for women.
